The Meaning of Li Chun 2009

立春 Li Chun is the beginning of Spring, the first of 24 節氣 Jie Qi (a day stating a part of 24 parts of Solar Year in Chinese Calendar/ Imlek).

For the public, this Li Chun is useful to determine Accurate Birth Shio for someone. So far, the people consider Birth Shio of someone Shio is based on the change of Shio period at Chinese New Year.

But based on accountable Chinese Astrology, the change of Shio period is conducted based on Solar Cycle, when enter into Li Chun period (the beginning of Spring). In the year 2009, Li Chun falls on February 4, 2009, exactly at 00.50 a.m.

So, the change of Birth Shio doesn’t occur at the time of celebrating陰曆新年 Yin Li Xin Nian (Chinese New Year), but at the time of Li Chun, the beginning spring cycle. The year 2009 of Fire Cow – Imlek 2560 – Ji Chou Nian

The year 2009 or the Year of Cow Shio is called as the Year of 己丑年Ji Chou Nian with the following analysis & details:

- Ji is the Sixth Cycle of天干 Tian Gan formulation (the Shaft of Heavens), representing a Negative Earth Element.

- Chou is the Second Cycle of地支 Di Zi formulation (Earth Branch), representing a Negative Earth element, or symbolized as Cow.

Some parts of European Continent are hit by hot weather, while some countries in Asia (i.e. China, Indonesia, and Bangladesh) are often hit by heavy rain / flood.
