The Meaning of Li Chun

立春 Li Chun is the beginning of Spring, the first of 24 節氣 Jie Qi (a day stating a part of 24 parts of Solar Year in Chinese Calendar/ Imlek).

For the public, this Li Chun is useful to determine Accurate Birth Shio forsomeone. So far, the people consider Birth Shio of someone Shio is based on the change of Shio period at Chinese New Year.

But based on accountable Chinese Astrology, the change of Shio period is conducted based on Solar Cycle, when enter into Li Chun period (the beginning of Spring). In the year 2008, Li Chun falls on February 4, 2008, exactly at 07.01 p.m.

So, the change of Birth Shio doesn’t occur at the time of celebrating 陰曆新年 Yin Li Xin Nian (Chinese New Year), but at the time of Li Chun, the beginning spring cycle. Such calendar system applies 夏 Xia calendar system that has been applied since more than 4,200 (four thousand two hundred) years ago, precisely at 2,205 B.C. This Xia Almanac made adjustment of month cycle with Solar System to the Earth, so that it results in more accurate analysis.

Example:

• The child born on February 4, 2008 at 07.08 p.m. (after 19.01 p.m.) means he/she has included into the Mouse Shio, even though the celebration of Chinese New Year to be started on February 7, 2008 !!!

The year 2008 of Fire Mouse - Imlek 2559 – Wu Zi Nian

The year 2008 or the Year of Mouse Shio is called as the Year of 戊子年 Wu Zi Nian with the following analysis & details:

• Wu is the Fifth Cycle of 天干 Tian Gan formulation (the Shaft of Heavens), representing a Positive Earth Element.
• Zi is the First Cycle of 地支 Di Zi formulation (Earth Branch), representing a Positive Water element, or symbolized as Mouse.
